Different people prefer to learn using different learning styles, which can change at various points in their life.  This makes it very challenging to build training, as you are often dealing with a number of different types of learners, and for a successful session, all must achieved the needed learning.  Being highly skilled in session design will not only ensure that all learners achieve the session outcomes, but that outcomes are appropriate and impactful, and that all learners achieve the most complete learning through the session.

This course teaches you the fundamentals of session design.  You'll learn how to assess and analyze a group of learners to determine learning needs, how to build the most impactful outcomes based on those needs, and how to build a graduated learning plan that will achieve the deepest and most complete learning of a skill.  We'll discuss the learning cycle and the four distinct learning styles, and how to orient training to accommodate each of the different styles.  We'll also look at how environment impacts learning and important environmental considerations when designing a session.  Finally we'll look at how to build a complete session package that can be effectively used by multiple session facilitators to deliver required learning effectively.  By the end of this course you will know how to accurately determine learning needs of a group and incorporate learning styles into design, to ensure complete learning by all participants in a session.
